Deep in the woods of Boonesville, Virginia there sits a bridge. At first glance, it holds no real purpose; it is almost as if the bridge was randomly dropped from some other world. The residents of Boonesville fear this area of the woods. Ever since the land was first settled, they have heard tales of the dark creature that lives beneath the bridge.
For a price, this creature will do your dirty work. He has lived this way for hundreds of years, assisting humans with matters of revenge and vengeance for paltry goods like food and alcohol.
But this lackluster way of life comes to an end when the creature rediscovers a past that has almost totally been erased from his memory. Once, almost one thousand years ago, he was part of something far greater than hired scares for humans. Once, he was a warrior, a fierce fighter than protected all of the world from…something. Something he can’t remember.
Now, whatever that something is has started to come back. It has returned in the shape of what humans refer to as folklore and mythology, shoved away into laughable horror stories and assumed to be fictitious. But he knows all to well that these things are real and that he is the only one that can stop it.
All he has to do is stop his binge drinking and learn to start giving a damn.
